Our Story

JOHN SIMONSEN, Founder and President

From the start, Copper Creek Electric has been founded on John’s expertise and passion for excellence. He started working for an electrician in Houston, TX at the age of 19. He moved to the Nashville area in 1998 and continued his career in the electrical field, advancing to lead electrician. He gained valuable experience, managing everything from light commercial projects, such as retail build-outs, to industrial factory projects. However, he had made a promise to himself that he would go out on his own by the time he was 35. So in 2008, at the age of 34, he studied, took his electrical contractor’s exam, and Copper Creek Electric was born. His wife, Denise, has been by his side from the beginning, managing the bookkeeping, financials, human resources, and all of the little (but big) things.

Barry’s hard work and commitment to excellence led to his promotion to Project Manager, where he now guides projects with the same dedication and vision that define Copper Creek Electric.
